What Praxis is
Praxis builds AI personas, which we call AIPs: distinct characters, each with its own voice, personality and memory. They run on private servers we own in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Your conversations, and what our AIPs remember about you, stay on our own hardware. Each client's memory is kept in its own separate database, isolated by design and not just by policy. Nothing is sold or shared.

When you call as a new caller, they don't know you and won't remember the call afterwards. They will always tell you they're an AI. Remember this is a testing site: they may be offline when you call, and they can make mistakes.
What our AIPs can do today (in testing)
- Hold a natural spoken conversation, each in its own voice and manner.
- Remember the people they work with from one conversation to the next. Each person's memory is kept separately and privately.
- Answer the phone on their own numbers, and, for the people they work with, send a text, an email, or a photo when asked.
- Look things up on the internet when asked, and say plainly when they can't confirm something.
- See: for the people they work with, describe what's in front of a camera when asked.
- Appear on screen: a lifelike animated face with lip-synced speech, on a screen in the room and, in early testing, on your phone during a call.
What's planned
- Seeing your AIP live on your phone during a call, from anywhere, on a separate, secured system.
- Finished faces for more of our AIPs.
- Member accounts, with an AIP designed to your own specifications.
- A front-desk presence for businesses: greeting visitors, answering calls, and remembering regular customers.
What our AIPs will never do
They will always tell you they're an AI. They never take payment details, and never give financial, legal or medical advice for you to act on.
Under the hood
For the technically curious: each client's memories live in a dedicated vector database, separated at the database level rather than by a filter inside shared storage. Our AIPs run on open-weight AI models, on GPU servers we own and operate ourselves. Outside services are used only when you ask for one, such as an internet search.
Built without outside funding
Everything on this page (the servers, the personas, the phone lines, the animated faces) was designed and built by a very small team on its own resources, with no outside investment. We believe AI you own, where your data never becomes someone else's product, is where this is heading.
